CPTU Road Trip has Begun!

MORE THAN 500 ENTRIES

We are now taking two days to drive from Brisbane to Tropical North Queensland and will be away from reliable WIFI service until Sunday Night. Please check the website for information. We’ve set up the CPTU FAQ Page to help answer your questions.

We are taking no chances with couriers and hand delivering the race packs to Adventure Equipment Australia on Monday Morning 09:00am. You have that whole week to collect your race pack.

CPTU - Back Ups

We are sorry to say that we confused the Registration, Printing and our Timing Company with your registrations and you’ve missed having your name printed on your Bib. We are sorry about this. I’ve hand written your name on the bib and also added a BTU-STWC Soft Flask to your race packs.

Female Attendance at the CPTU

More Females have entered the Cairns Port Douglas Trail Ultra than Males!

Females Trail Runners are taking a trail running holiday in Cairns, they are booking guilt free girls weekends away with their buddies, in Tropical North Queensland. It is the first time in four years of being a Race Director that there are MORE Females entered in an event than Males. These demographics were unexpected, and we are short on all female race singlets using the same ratios that we used for the BTU. We ordered our race singlets way back in January 2021. We’ve done our best to fill the orders, but know so many females have missed out on getting their correct size. Because we still want you to have something special in your race pack, we have added our High Quality BTU - T-shirts to your race packs. These are made with the softest cotton and we know that you’ll love them. For those runners who aren’t happy with your size, please come to the Start line or Finish Line of your event and see if there is your size available in the “Did Not Start” Race Packs. We filled the orders in order of 120, 80, 40, 20 then 10. I’ve let the team know that there will be runners wanting to swap their sizes at the start and finish line of the event.

Final Stakeholders Meeting Monday

Cairns Port Douglas Trail Ultra will have their final stakeholders meeting on Monday afternoon with Port Douglas, Cairns, Mareeba Councils, Police, QAS Ambulance, QNPWS to discuss the permits for the event.
