    To manage the crowds and to prevent long waiting times, we will split the Adventure Store Australia race pack pick up across the following days;

    Monday 28th August- EARLY BIRD ENTRIES ONLY

    Tuesday 29th August - STANDARD ENTRIES, EARLY BIRD ENTRIES.

    Wednesday 30th August , Thursday 31st August LATE ENTRIES, STANDARD ENTRIES, DEFERRALS, ONLY

    Friday 1st September LAST MINUTE ENTRIES, LATE ENTRIES, STANDARD ENTRIES, DEFERRALS, ONLY

    Please do not arrive to collect your pack before your day, as your pack may not be at Adventure Equipment Australia

  • Drop Bag Requirements

    Drop bags are no larger than a commercial shopping bag size No Smaller than a Lunch Box.

    19cm Depth x 31cm width x35cm height This is the super zip-up cooler bag, “Coles” or “Woolworths” shopping bag size. and no smaller than a “Thermos Insulated Lunchbox” for example 22cm Width x 14.5cm Depth x 15.5 Height. Please attach a ribbon or something to your bag so it is easy to find. Only durable, waterproof, fully enclosed, soft bags will be accepted.

    Name the bag in the following way;

    Bib Number. We can tell which event you are in by your rego number, we will also have your GPS tracked to aid with the speediness of your transition through the checkpoint.

    Checkpoint Number and Written Location of the Checkpoint

    Must be written on strapping or electrical tape with a thick black waterproof marker.

    CP2, CP3, CP4, CP5 - FINISH 4 MILE BEACH

    DROP POINT - START LINE - BEFORE YOUR RACE.

    All Drop bags MUST be collected by 15:00pm Sunday - We take all uncollected Drop Bags to the waste transfer station.

  • The participant is responsible for the actions of their support crew. Support crews must comply with all instructions from event staff and officials. The participant may be penalised or disqualified for actions or breaches of the rules by their support crew.

    Support Crews can ONLY offer assistance within 400 meter radius of designated Checkpoints 2, 3 and 5. Runners who accept assistance from support crews outside these areas will be given a 1 hour time penalty.

    Support Crews can only enter the support crew area once their runner has entered the checkpoint.

    Support crews must obey all road rules and drive within the speed limits. Please ensure that the support crew get sufficient rest and is not tired when driving. Make sure they prepare their own food and water, as they are not allowed to eat the checkpoint food.

    Support crews must follow the instructions of all checkpoint staff, road marshals and road traffic controllers.

    Support crews must not eat the provided food at checkpoints, food is for competitors only.

    Outside assistance is only permitted at Checkpoints 2, 3, and 5 and Finish Line.

    You must not receive outside assistance at any other points on the course. Assistance from event staff is acceptable. Any support crews found outside of these areas will be given a 2 hour time penalty to their runner.

    No Support Crews Driving on Black Mountain Road, this road will be closed for the duration of the event. Support Crews found driving on Black Mountain Road will result in their runner being instantly disqualified.

    It is the runners responsibility to ensure your support crew is familiar with the course, they can find the locations of the checkpoints on the locations page.
