What does this mean for you?

We have a high tide at 10:23 pm when many of the CPTU80, and CPTU120 Runners will make their way along the beach. Conditions vary depending on the wind direction and storm surge and swell of the ocean. Because of these reasons, we will make a call on the night when we inspect the conditions of the beach and evaluate if there is enough beach (5m) for you to use to be croc safe.

We will decide to divert runners along the High Tide Route from 20:00 pm on Saturday Night. You will be told at CP5 - Bottom of the Bump Track if you are to use the high tide route or finish on the beach.

At 00:00 Midnight, or earlier if conditions are favourable for beach running, runners making their way through CP5 will be told if the beach is open again and they no longer follow the High Tide Route.

If we have a crocodile sighting, you will be contacted by the Ops Room for informed at CP5 and the course will be diverted to the high tide route.
